Acceptable use policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to use of palmsend and is part of the palmsend Terms of Service.

Permission to text

You may send messages only to people you are permitted to contact under applicable law, carrier requirements, and the palmsend Terms of Service.

Do not use purchased, rented, borrowed, scraped, or third-party contact lists for unsolicited messaging.

You must promptly honor opt-out requests.

Prohibited content and uses

You may not use palmsend to send or facilitate:

  • unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, abusive, or harassing content;
  • unsolicited messages or spam;
  • sexual or pornographic content;
  • hate speech or content promoting unlawful discrimination or violence;
  • firearms or explosives promotions;
  • alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, CBD, or illegal-drug promotions;
  • gambling;
  • high-risk financial products or services, including payday lending, credit repair, debt collection, or similar programs;
  • cryptocurrency or investment promotions prohibited by our messaging providers or carriers;
  • multi-level marketing or similar schemes;
  • political campaign messaging unless palmsend expressly supports and has registered the applicable use case;
  • messaging that impersonates or misrepresents another person or organization;
  • attempts to evade carrier filtering, registration, consent, or opt-out requirements;
  • messaging on behalf of another organization without palmsend's written permission; or
  • any content or activity prohibited by our messaging providers or mobile carriers.

This list is not exhaustive.

Network and account abuse

You may not:

  • probe, scan, attack, overload, or interfere with palmsend;
  • attempt to access another account without permission;
  • use automated systems to abuse or circumvent service limits;
  • create accounts or registrations using false information;
  • manipulate messaging traffic to avoid fees, limits, filters, or carrier requirements; or
  • use palmsend in a way that threatens the security or reputation of the service or its providers.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may hold messages or restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce this policy or protect recipients, palmsend, our providers, or mobile networks.

Messaging-provider and carrier rules change over time. We may update this policy when necessary to reflect those requirements.
