Palmsend is a texting tool for churches. A church signs up, gets a phone number, adds the people it texts, and sends them messages. This policy explains what information palmsend handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the leaders who run a church's account, the churches themselves, and the people a church texts.
If you received a text from a church through palmsend, the church chose to text you and controls its list. The short version for you is under Text messages.

In this policy, "palmsend," "we," and "us" mean Mighty Incredible LTD.

How palmsend works
A church leader creates an account and gives palmsend the church's details. Palmsend registers the church with our messaging provider, The Campaign Registry, and the US mobile carriers as needed, provides the church a dedicated phone number, and sends texts from that number on the church's behalf. Replies come back to the church's account, where its leaders can read and answer them.
For the people a church texts, the church decides who is on its list and what it sends. Palmsend processes their information on the church's instructions to provide the messaging service and maintain required records.
Each church is responsible for its own messaging practices, including deciding whom to contact and obtaining any permission or consent required to send its messages.
For leader accounts, billing, security, analytics, and operation of the palmsend service, palmsend decides how information is used as described in this policy.
What we collect
Leader accounts
You sign in with an email address and a one-time code we email you. We keep your email address, your name if you give one, your role in the church, your notification preferences, and records of your sign-ins, including your IP address.
Church details
To register a church for messaging, we collect information needed by our messaging provider, The Campaign Registry, and mobile carriers. This may include the church's legal name and the name it goes by, its Employer Identification Number (EIN), its address, its website if it has one, and a contact name, email address, and phone number.
We also record information and confirmations relating to the church's messaging program and how people agree to receive its texts.
The people a church texts
For each person on a church's list, we hold their first name and mobile number and, if provided, their last name and email address.
We may also record how and when the person was added to the list, the groups they belong to, and opt-outs and opt-ins with their source and time.
We keep the texts a church sends and the texts people send back, together with information such as delivery status and timestamps.
Billing
Churches pay through a payment processor, which collects and stores payment card details. Palmsend does not receive full card numbers.
We keep a reference to the church's record with the payment processor, its plan, text balance and history, payment status, and information needed to calculate applicable taxes.
Usage information
When you use our website or app, we collect information about how you use it, such as pages and screens visited, actions taken, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and time of use.
We use cookies and similar technologies and may use analytics services to collect this information, as described under Cookies and analytics.
Support
If you contact us for help, we keep the information you send us and records of our communications with you. This may include information about your account, church, device, contacts, or messages when needed to investigate and resolve the issue.
How we use it
We use information to operate palmsend, including to:
- send and deliver texts;
- route replies;
- honor opt-outs and opt-ins;
- register churches and messaging programs with our messaging provider, The Campaign Registry, and mobile carriers;
- provide and manage phone numbers;
- bill for the service and calculate applicable taxes;
- send account emails such as sign-in codes and notifications;
- provide customer support;
- maintain records required by carrier rules and applicable law;
- protect palmsend, churches, and recipients from fraud, abuse, and misuse;
- understand how palmsend is used and improve the service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use a church's contact list or message content to advertise to the people on that list or for unrelated marketing purposes.
Text messages
If you receive texts from a church through palmsend, this section applies to your mobile number.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Your mobile number is processed by our messaging provider and mobile carriers as needed to deliver messages.
We maintain records relating to consent, opt-ins, and opt-outs so the church can manage its messaging program and palmsend can comply with applicable messaging requirements.
To stop receiving messages from a church, reply STOP to any text from that church. You will receive a confirmation and will no longer receive texts from that church unless you opt in again.

Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep you signed in, operate the service, and protect it from abuse.
We may also use analytics services that set cookies or similar identifiers to help us understand how our website and app are used so we can improve them.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies that are necessary for the service may prevent parts of palmsend from working, including sign-in.
Who else processes it
We use service providers to operate palmsend. They may process information as necessary to provide their services to us and as otherwise permitted by their agreements with us and applicable law.
These providers may include:
- a messaging provider that provides phone numbers, delivers texts, and manages carrier registration;
- mobile carriers and messaging networks that transmit messages;
- a payment processor that handles payments and may assist with tax calculation;
- an email provider that sends account and service emails;
- hosting and infrastructure providers that store and process data and files;
- security and monitoring providers;
- customer support tools; and
- analytics providers that help us understand use of the service.
The Campaign Registry, our messaging provider, and mobile carriers may receive information about a church and its messaging program as needed to register and deliver messaging in the United States.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of palmsend, our users, message recipients, or others.
If palmsend or its assets are acquired, merged, financed, reorganized, or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction as permitted by applicable law.
Our providers may process information outside your state. Palmsend is offered in the United States, and information is primarily processed there.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.
Consent and opt-out records may be retained after a person leaves a church's list or after an account closes because they help establish messaging permissions and prevent unwanted messages.
Billing, tax, accounting, security, and legal records may be retained for the periods required or permitted by law.
When a church deletes its account, its list, groups, and messages are removed from normal use and stop being available in the app. A church's phone number may be held temporarily before being released to the messaging provider or carrier.
Deleted information may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, fraud prevention systems, and records we retain for security, legal, billing, or messaging-compliance purposes.
Your choices and requests
Leaders can see and change many church details, contacts, and settings through the app. Account owners can request or initiate account deletion through Settings.
Some changes to information registered with messaging providers or carriers may need to be made through palmsend. Use Contact us in Settings or email help@palmsend.com.
People on a church's list should generally contact the church, because the church controls its contact list and messaging program. The church can correct, remove, or delete information in palmsend as appropriate.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP.
If you cannot reach the church or need help with a palmsend message, email help@palmsend.com and include the mobile number that received the message.
We may retain a record that a number opted out so that additional messages are not sent contrary to that request.
Where applicable state privacy laws give you rights over personal information, you may exercise those rights through the methods above. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and encryption at rest where appropriate.
No method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
palmsend accounts are intended for adults acting on behalf of a church. Palmsend is not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not intentionally collect personal information directly from children under thirteen.
Churches are responsible for having the authority and any consent required to provide information about minors and to communicate with them through palmsend.
If you believe information about a child under thirteen has been provided improperly, contact the church or email us at help@palmsend.com.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the dates at the top of this page.
For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify church account owners.
